Danny graduated from West Point in 1975. He was in Company I-2. He was appointed from the state of Oregon. West Point
After West Point, Danny was commissioned Infantry and served two tours with the 9th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis. (1976-1978 and 1980-1981) From 1976-1978 he was with the 3d Battalion, 47th Infantry (Foot Cavalry). Danny transferred to the Chemical Corp in 1978 and attended the Chemical Officer Advanced Course at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. He then served one tour with the 2d Infantry Division in Korea (Camp Casey) as the Assistant Division Chemical Officer. He returned to Fort Lewis in 1980-81 as the Commanding Officer of the 9th Infantry Division Chemical Company. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal twice; once for his service in Korea and once for his work in commanding the 9th Infantry Division Chemical Company. (description of the Meritorious Service Medal) After leaving active duty in 1981, Danny moved to Reno, Nevada, and then to the San Francisco Bay Area where he lived until 1993 when he, his wife, Susan, and their two children moved to Denver to help start OneComm. Danny continues to live in Denver with his two daughters.
